Ill be posting all the Terraria drawings (comic?) I drew at the beginning of this year. Yes, it may be hard to look at because of the bad drawings and awkward dialogue boxes(i think a lot of people were put off because of this...) but um... o_o uhh... okay I can't persuade you to read this if you don't want to...
Oh and remember, this comic is based on the game Terraria and most of the characters in this comic are based on the NPC's in the game. I do try and mix it up with a bit of a story of my own although at the start of this comic, there doesn't appear to be any story at all since I kind of just started drawing without a plan or anything in mind back then... but we'll get there! :D
(ANOTHER NOTE: I should also just mention, its very confusing to read this. Sometimes I refer the comic 'chapters' to 'days' and sometimes I don't. Trust me, this confuses myself as well :S)
Ch 2: The second day.
Ch 3: Fallen Star
(14 hours. 14 HOURS. I worked on it for 14 hours straight. Remember that at this time I was still using a mouse to draw and I was using Flash MX (a program meant for ANIMATION) for these comics... ugh I still remember how good it felt when I finished drawing the last frame...)
Ch 4: The Demolitionist arrives!
(Okay...I have to say it now. The idea of starting a comic with no story or planning ahead was now causing me A LOT of trouble. The next chapter, chapter 5... I COULD NEVER COMPLETE. I had put my self in a dead end where I just couldn't think up of a good conclusion for. Even until now, about 9 or 10 months after I left this comic, I STILL can not think of a good ending or conclusion for chapter 5... I do have about 15 ending scenarios but... lets leave it as this "THEY ALL SUCK D:<")
Ch 5: The Cliffhanger.
Final Thoughts
...I last posted in the forums around February I think and never showed up again. I think I may have posted something in April but it was just a few words I cant really remember... but I do remember that it was around that time there were much better artists around and a few of them were also doing Terraria comics which were much much better than my own. I'll admit that after looking at their drawings and comics, I started to cringe and feel embarrassed after looking back at my comics... I lost the motivation and well...yeah... see!? I gave up and left the forums over such as silly reason >_>
(^Nequam, the annoying copper shortsword)
Though I have realized that there were other reasons that were mainly because of myself. I should've planned ahead with this comic rather than just drawing anything that comes in mind and giving the characters random dialogue T^T. And to improve the artwork of my comic, I bought a Wacom bamboo. No longer did I use a mouse to draw anymore (not to mention in Macromedia flash :S). I spent the majority of the next 6 months drawing and thinking of a story. (oh yeah I should also note that around this time, I had really given up on my Terraria comic and wanted to start on something fresh...but then things changed and I wanted to go back and finish my Terraria comic...)
Now its been nearly a year and I "do" have a story in mind now. A big story! A story that my Terraria comic will not be able to tell and that story will continue onto Starbound!!! (wow im already announcing a sequel to a yet-to-be-finished comic, well done MisoSoup...well down *slow-self clap*)
Now, I need to work harder and try to get over the obstacle of..."CHAPTER 5"
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
i really have no idea how to finish chapter 5 ._.
...
Um..thanks for reading(?) take care...
